About Jason Jacobson
I've spent my career at the intersection of creativity, technology, and entrepreneurship. In 2004, I co-founded My Yoga Online, one of the world's first subscription video streaming platforms, launched years before Netflix even moved into streaming. Along the way I launched Fresh Eye Productions, producing more than a thousand hours of original wellness content. Nine years later, Gaia (NASDAQ: GAIA) acquired the company in 2013, where I stayed on as VP of Streaming to help scale their global platform.
Since then, I've kept building: launching new products, investing in early-stage companies, mentoring founders working through the same challenges I once faced, and growing a public following where I share what I'm learning along the way.
What Inspired Experly
Experly was born from a simple observation: expert knowledge is incredibly valuable, but traditional consulting models don't scale. Experts are limited by time, and clients often can't afford the premium rates required for one-on-one guidance.
After decades building products, I kept seeing the same gap. Experts have real knowledge. No way to give it to every client without trading their time for it.
What if experts could package their knowledge once, and still give every client something built just for them? That's Experly. Experts upload what they teach. They design the questions that matter. Every client gets a program built from that material and their answers, reviewed and approved by the expert before it ships. Consulting, reimagined.
